Community Planning

ACS uses information gathered from the calls and questions we receive at our Centre as well as requests from the community for service and research projects to plan for services needed in the community. The Board of Directors reviews data on service issues, prioritizes projects that need attention, develops plans that will either be undertaken as a project by our Centre or passed on to other significant stakeholders for their attention should they be more appropriate. Funding availability will also be a determinant in what services the agency can provide, and community support is always important.

United Way of Windsor-Essex County, project grants, municipal grants and donations, as well as our own initiatives, fund this program. As a non-profit charitable organization registered with Revenue Canada, all donations are eligible for receipts for income tax purposes and are greatly appreciated.

Board members are all volunteers and receive no compensation for their efforts, which are highly valued by the community.

New members are welcome and should contact the agency for further information.
