The department aims to provide an optimum number of both passive and active recreation opportunities for all age groups and abilities to people within the City of Windsor. It also strives to ensure the environment is protected, preserved and enhanced for the enjoyment of all people The Activity Guide is published 3 times yearly and outlines the various activities, programs and services available at its facilities. It is delivered with The Windsor Star or it can be picked up at any community centre or arena.POINT PELEE NATIONAL PARK Description: National park -- nature, history and bicycle trails. Provides tours of the Marsh Boardwalk and observation towers, canoe and bicycle rentals, sandy beaches, swimming, canoeing, picnicking, transit train to the top and Visitor Centre. Services for persons with disabilities include accessible trails, FM system and tactile maps. Group camping is available year round by reservation only. SCOUTS CANADA (Essex Area) Description: Values-based educational organization offering services that contribute to the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential of young people. Offers leadership and responsibility training on a local, national and international lever. Utilized small groups and outdoor activities as a key learning resource. ST. Summer day camp programs that promotes a positive learning experience
and develops individual skills. The camps offer numerous recreational
and educational activities in a well supervised environment -- general
