On March 23, 2016, ACS Meals on Wheels Clients received a pleasant surprise as local public figures delivered their meals.
Mayor Ken Antaya of the town of LaSalle, Heather Vandenhave from Seasons Amherstburg, Police Chief Tim Berthiaume from Amherstburg Police Department, Mayor Aldo DiCarlo of the town of Amherstburg, Â Lee Tome, Assistant Deputy Chief of the Amherstburg Fire Department, Captain Ron Meloche of the Amherstburg Fire Department, all volunteered their time to personally deliver meals to local residents as part of the March for Meals campaign, a promotional campaign that brings awareness to Meals on Wheels in our area and its need for community support.
This not only brought awareness to the local Meals on Wheels program however; it also gave our clients the unique opportunity to be in the spotlight themselves as they met respected public figures and had the opportunity to speak directly to numerous reporters. Â On behalf of these clients and everyone involved with ACS, we thank each of you for your support yesterday!
