Isolation is an issue for many seniors. Many are alone with no family and no one to ask, “How are you today?”
The Security Reassurance Program provides seniors with regular contact with their community and reassures them that they are not alone. This program uses volunteers who make daily/weekly phone calls at pre-arranged times to check on the well-being of seniors.
Daily/weekly contacts decrease the risk and anxiety associated with living alone.
As we age, staying social and making friends can be a challenge. The Friendly Visiting program pairs willing volunteers with isolated seniors who then meet regularly to go on shopping trips, go out to lunch, play cards, or simply sit and converse.
Seniors can call us for more information or sign up for the program.
Friendly Social Seniors
Looking for a fun social outing for yourself or someone you know, without paying huge membership or user fees? The Friendly Social Seniors group meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month to enjoy a variety of activities. Lunch is always included, and activities vary from art classes, to shopping outings, to informative presentations by local organizations. The congregate dining programs are perfect for seniors looking to make friends and enjoy a social outing.
